Our panel event was a great opportunity for entrepreneurs, technologists and other life sciences stakeholders to understand the challenges of the rapidly changing pharma environment and the potential of data and AI-driven opportunities. Experts brought perspectives on how emerging technologies can be leveraged in R&D, Value & Access, and Regulatory and how pharma is prioritizing investment and partnership opportunities.

Ipek Özer Stillman, Janak Joshi, José Duca, Nick Diamond, and Naomi Fried shared expertise and insights such as:

1. It’s not a trivial exercise to achieve bias-free, calibrated data, and there are big business opportunities in reducing time for this process.
2. Pharma faces complex, multi-stakeholder challenges that will require strong systems thinking and a trial-and-error approach to solve these challenges.
3. Building trust among collaborators is critically important for advancing pharma collaborations.
4. Although there are many regulatory uncertainties related to AI, entrepreneurs will benefit from developing relationships and engaging early with regulators for feedback.
